Queen City Corvette Road Rally ‘11

Welcome to Road Rally ‘11!! This will be a year long Rally that will involve all current, active, and in good standing members of the Queen City Corvette Club. You will accumulate miles on this rally that will be deposited in your travel log. At the end of year rewards will be given in numerous categories.

There are a few simple rules to this rally:

1) A “Driver” is defined as either a single person or couple per car.

2) A “Driver” must choose his / her division at the beginning of the rally. One division per driver. You may not switch divisions during the year.

3) It is the “Driver’s” responsibility to check-in at each event.

4) Each event will carry a different mile value. That value is listed on this sheet and will be verified when you arrive and check-in.

5) Certain events will include your car. No car, No miles!

6) On-time arrivals and departures will be enforced on certain events.

7) Certain events will be designated “SUPERCHARGED V-8” events. These events will adhere to the same rules as above but will get DOUBLE MILES as a normal event of that type. There will be a SYMBOL at the event to designate it a “SUPERCHARGED V-8” event.

8) The Vice President and / or President will be the final decision maker on all disputes.

Please fill out an enrollment form get the form to Matthew Deiger, Vice President, ASAP to begin the rally. Forms will only be provided at every business meeting. Miles will begin once enrollment form is received, past miles will not be counted. GET YOUR FORM IN QUICK!!

Rewards:

1) One top “Driver” per division (2 total).

a. 2^nd Place Driver per division (2 total)

b. 3^rd Place Driver per division (2 total)

2) One top “Rookie Driver” (regardless of division) (1 total)

3) One top “Overall Driver” (regardless of division) (1 total)

Prizes will be top notch! Don’t be left out!

Mile Values:

National Corvette Museum Member:

7 miles

Meetings:

2 miles (officers not eligible)

Car Shows:

4 miles per day (Car is required)*

Car Meets / Day Trips (no overnights):

3 miles*

Long distance / overnight trips:

3 miles, plus 1 mile for every night. (Travel days included, but not to exceed 2 days (i.e. 1 day up and 1 day back))(Car not required, but recommended)*

New Member referral:

5 miles (Member must join and dues in good standing at end of year.) Must submit to VP in writing, in advance for tracking purposes. Forms will be available.

Dinners:

1 mile per dinner, with a maximum of 12 miles per year.

*Chrome Bumper Cars get 1 bonus mile for these events, if not primary car (multi-car households only.)
