About Queen City Corvette Club
Hello and welcome to the Queen City Corvette Club website.
Queen City Corvette Club is the largest and most active Corvette club in North Carolina with over 200 plus members strong. Our members range in age from their 20's all the way up to our senior member who is 92 years young. Every model year of Corvettes is represented, from vintage C1 models from the mid fifties to the most current and latest model Corvette, the 505 h.p. Z06.
The primary goal of our club is owning, driving, and sharing our Corvettes with others while establishing close friendships with other people who share the passion for Corvettes. Our activities include car shows, overnight and day road trips, parades, poker runs, car care days, cruise ins, and high performance driving events. Our overnight road trips were to various destinations this past year, including the beaches, mountains, and a pilgrimage to the home of the Corvette, Bowling Green , KY.
The club's social activities include BBQ's, bowling events, go kart racing and of course our famous Wednesday night dinner gatherings. The Wednesday night dinners give us an opportunity to gather at various restaurants through out the greater Charlotte area to share fellowship with other members and also give us an excuse to shine our cars and show them off!
Queen City Corvette Club is a non-profit club, which is very active in the charity arena. We arrange various charity car shows with local Chevrolet dealers, which raise funds that are donated to local charities. This past year we supported through our charity fund Thompson Child & Family Services, Caring Bridge , Crisis Assistance Ministry, Salvation Army Boys and Girls Summer Camps, and the North Carolina Air National Guard Family Program.
Queen City Corvette Club provides an opportunity for members to exchange knowledge and information on how best to maintain and enjoy our Corvettes. We meet the second Saturday of each month at different locations in the greater Charlotte area. Our meetings begin at 6:30 p.m., which is usually preceded by a social period starting at 6:00 p.m. After the business meeting, we normally adjourn to a local restaurant for more social time. This is a great way to get to know your fellow club members.
Pre-requisites for membership include owning a Corvette and being over the age of 21.There is more information regarding membership on this website. Please come back and visit our website often. Information is always being updated and includes a calendar of events, pictures of recent club activities, classified ads, our monthly newsletter, and helpful “tech tips”.
Please feel free to contact our Membership Director Eddie Burt, any board member, or me directly. We would welcome the opportunity to have you participate in Queen City Corvette Club.
In the meantime, drive safely, save the wave, and hope to see you soon.
